1) Check the pump body, inlet and outlet pipelines, auxiliary pipelines, valves, flanges, union joints, and pressure gauges for any leaks; verify that the foundation bolts and motor grounding wires are tight, and ensure that the coupling is properly connected. 2) Check whether the pressure gauge at the pump outlet is properly installed and whether its range selection is appropriate; verify that the pressure gauge, ammeter, and oil level in the bearing housing have been marked with safety red lines, and ensure that the valve at the base of the pressure gauge is open. 3) Inspect and clean the bearing housing, and add lubricating oil to the level of 1/2 to 2/3 of the oil gauge according to the required grade. 4) Check whether the motor bearings have been properly lubricated with grease. 5) Supply cooling water to the pump body and mechanical seal flush cooler, ensure its smooth circulation, and adjust the cooling water pressure and flow rate. 6) Turn the pump’s steering wheel 2–3 times to check for any sticking or abnormal noises; after turning it, the coupling cover will be returned to its original position. 7) Check for leaks in the mechanical seal. When external flushing is used for the mechanical seal, the seal water valve should be opened, and the seal water pressure should be adjusted as required (generally 0.07–0.1 MPaG higher than the pump inlet pressure). 8) Close the pump outlet valve and open the pump inlet valve to fill the pump with liquid. Slightly open the outlet vent valve to release air, and then close it once all air has been discharged. 9) If the temperature of the medium being transported exceeds 100°C, thorough preheating is necessary before starting up, in order to bring the temperature inside the pump as close as possible to the operating temperature. The preheating process should be carried out slowly, with the temperature increase not exceeding 50°C per hour. 10) Coordinate with the relevant departments to improve the process flow. 11) Contact the electrician to supply power.
