Distillation plants typically include processes such as oil separation, washing, hydrolysis, and distillation. In the oil separation process, all the oil produced on a daily basis must be transferred into a washing tank, and the oil in the separation tanks must be completely drained. After washing and hydrolysis, the distillation process takes place in the distillation plant, during which the temperature must be maintained between 230 and 250 degrees. Therefore, the distillation workshop is an environment with strong acids and bases as well as high temperatures. Given the special operating conditions in distillation workshops, it is recommended that such enterprises equip themselves with stainless steel composite eye washers and similar devices, as composite eye washers are commonly used protective equipment in workshops handling hazardous chemicals, in areas where strong acids, bases, and other harmful substances are present. When workers’ eyes or body are injured by the splashing of acidic or alkaline harmful substances, they can immediately use the specialized composite eye washer available in the distillation workshop to rinse their eyes or body for at least 15 minutes, and then seek treatment at the nearest hospital as soon as possible. At the same time, eyewash stations made of 304 stainless steel also possess excellent physical properties in terms of heat resistance. It ensures the expected effective corrosion resistance and standby functionality in daily work and production. If there are highly corrosive solids, liquids, or gases in the workshop, it is recommended to add an ABS anti-corrosion coating on top of 304 stainless steel. Eyewash stations equipped with such an anti-corrosion coating can extend their service life by at least one-third. Finally, it is recommended that the eyewash nozzles of eyewash stations be made of 304 stainless steel, rather than ABS material. Although ABS has good material properties in daily use. However, in high and low temperature conditions, the eye wash nozzles made of ABS material may deform or experience difficulty in dispensing water. Therefore, it is recommended to use 304 stainless steel in high-temperature or low-temperature working environments.
