On-site fixing method for eye washers

Once the eye washer arrives at the site, it needs to be secured there. The method of fixation varies depending on the type of installation base: Sequence Number, Base used for securing the eye washer’s base, Method of fixation: 1. Concrete – Expansion bolts; 2. Grating plates – Double-headed or single-headed bolts (with stoppers); 3. Patterned steel plates – Single-headed bolts. When the eye washer is installed on concrete, the installation base should be at a height of 20–50 mm above the ground level, to prevent the base of the eye washer from getting submerged in water. Additionally, it is preferable that the base of the eye washer be integrated with the main body of the eye washer; the base and the main body should be connected by welding rather than through threaded connections.

Our company uses both concrete and grating plates for fixation
The eye washer should be installed on concrete; it’s best to create a base that is above the ground level, so that the base won’t get submerged in water (in case the ground surface isn’t properly prepared)
