Can baffle plates replace support plates?

I’m a beginner, so I have a question for the experts here: since baffle plates also serve to support the tube bundle, is it possible to use baffle plates in place of the support plates? ?

The main function of baffle plates is to disrupt the flow of fluid, rather than to provide support; in places where support plates are installed, whether the fluid flow is disrupted or not has little impact on the heat exchange efficiency. So what was the original intention of the poster?
Just by looking at their names, it’s clear that the two have different functions; they definitely cannot be used interchangeably!
The original poster can search first; there are many previous posts discussing the differences between baffles and supports.
The support plate is the one located near the small float, and it is used to secure the tie rod to the spacing tube.
