The brands I know include GE, Siemens, Fle*m, and E+H. What are the major domestic brand names? And what are the typical price ranges? Thank you!

The accuracy of ultrasonic flow measurement isn’t very good; it’s mostly used for measuring the flow in auxiliary oil and water pipelines where accuracy isn’t critical during on-site measurements and tests. Moreover, its measurement results seem to be highly dependent on the condition of the pipeline. In many of our on-site pipelines that have been in use for a long time, rust on the inner walls can prevent accurate flow measurement. Will the instruments abroad be better in this situation?
The accuracy of insert-type flowmeters is somewhat lower; they may not be necessary for transfer measurement. However, in recent years, clamp-on type flowmeters have also been used in some special industrial applications. As for rusting, it should still be possible to carry out measurements, though the accuracy will definitely decrease. Rusting means that the wall thickness – or inner diameter – changes. I know that as long as the straight pipe section requirements are met, flow measurement is possible for liquids; for gases, sufficient pressure is essential. For special gases, clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters are even more necessary. It is possible to measure natural gases with high sulfur content using such devices. This is all I know; there might be some mistakes, and I need to learn more from everyone in the future*.

The KROHNE ultrasonic level gauge OPTISOUND3010C used in the previous project had a precision of 0.1, but its actual performance was terrible; it often showed unexpected short-term deviations, and its resistance to interference was not good, especially when there were high-power devices starting up frequently around it. In practice, a precision of around 5% was already considered good. When there are other options available, it’s better to avoid using ultrasonic flowmeters – it’s not worth causing trouble for yourself in the future.
One can’t say that either, right? Both ultrasonic level gauges and ultrasonic flow meters utilize ultrasound technology, but it’s not appropriate to compare devices from different fields. We specialize in imported flow meters, and our products enjoy a good reputation among users; they help solve many problems for them. And, to be honest, I’m just saying this on the forum – I hope there will be fewer troubles with maintenance in the future. I myself wouldn’t say that ultrasonic level gauges aren’t useful at work, because it’s me who bought them – how can I say they’re not good? I think the feedback on other projects will have similar patterns as well! Ultrasonic flowmeters have also been used, and overall it seems they are indeed better than level gauges. For trade measurement purposes, the main gas ultrasonic flowmeters available are Emerson Daniel, Honeywell’s RMG, German company ELSTER, as well as German company Sick. In China, Shanghai Visi offers good quality products for such applications; GE and Kolon also produce such flowmeters, but their market share in the domestic market is not very large. A precision of 0.25% is already considered very good for a watch; as for ones that can achieve 0.1%, I’ve never seen any such ones. :D. For liquid super, I know that Daniel’s and Cameron’s are the better ones; they’re not used very often either.
