Negative pressure of 98 KP, temperature of 97 degrees, plug-in diaphragm box; are there any records of measurements taken using Rosemount pressure transmitters? Let’s share some other good experiences.
This post was last edited by Perfey on 2016-4-8 at 10:17. Can it be measured using a differential pressure transmitter? Is the high voltage terminal connected to the atmosphere, and the low voltage terminal to the point under test? I’m not sure if it’s possible.
I think it shouldn’t be possible. I’m not sure about vacuum gauges; a special selection process is required
Since you are dealing with absolute vacuum, an absolute pressure gauge is the only option

This post was last edited by ウ① How ゞ on 2016-4-8 19:32. A Rosemount gauge pressure transmitter with an insertable diaphragm can be used, and DC200 silicone oil will work fine. However, attention must be paid to the insertion depth, dimensions, diaphragm material, and flange standard
A regular differential pressure transmitter cannot replace a negative pressure gauge. This is because, under normal conditions, the membrane box of a differential pressure transmitter is manufactured in a condition where it is under pressure. Negative pressure, on the other hand, is the external movement of the diaphragm box. Over time, oil leakage from the diaphragm box will occur. Therefore, it’s okay to use it occasionally for emergency purposes, but for long-term measurements, a proper vacuum gauge must be used.
For the operating conditions described by the poster, Rosemount will definitely be fine.
The Rosemont model works very well; it operates at -100 to 0 KPA. We use it in the evaporation section of our urea system, where the pressure is also -98 KPA. There are also those from Yamaki, but they’re just average.
