Pay attention to the following points: 1. The power of the pump must meet the requirements specified in the technical agreement, and it shall not exceed 5% at most. 2. The head and flow rate must meet the specified requirements; they should not be too low or too high. According to the 5656 standard, different grades of pumps have different requirements, with the values generally not exceeding plus or minus 5%. 3. After the pump has been running for two hours, its bearing temperature and vibration levels should be monitored. The vibration limits are specified by the API standard, and vary depending on the grade of the pump; generally, the vibration level should not exceed 4.5 mm/s, while for Class B pumps it should not exceed 2.8 mm/s. 4. At the end of the operation, check for any leaks, especially at the mechanical seal. 5. For the rest, one can check the hydrostatic test report, dynamic balance, and so on. The rest are inspected in accordance with the requirements of the technical agreement.
First, check the qualifications of the test bench, then verify that the instruments are calibrated and within their valid period, and finally witness the testing of the pump in accordance with the standards specified in the contract. The types of tests to be conducted and the required accuracy levels should be specified in the contract, and the requirements for test results at different accuracy levels should also be outlined in relevant standards.
