I would like to ask the experts: which standard is referenced for the safety distance between tank areas? Also, how is the safe distance between the concentrated sulfuric acid storage tank and the flammable liquid tank area determined?
There are just two standards: one for construction and one for the petrochemical industry. To determine which specific standard to use as a reference, you should compare it with the materials used in your company or consult local safety authorities!
I can’t remember the specifics, but at least the issue of fire access routes should be considered between the two tank areas. The nearest storage tanks in the other two tank areas must also meet the spacing requirements for storage tank rooms.
First of all, LZ failed to understand the scope of the regulations; any set of regulations has its specific area of application. First, it is necessary to clarify the nature of the LZ project, and only then can the standards be selected. Many regulations, such as those for the petrochemical industry, construction, oil depots, and storage facilities, include provisions regarding the distance between storage tanks. The steps cannot be in disorder.
There is also Document No. 76 issued by the Safety Supervision Bureau, which contains new regulations regarding tank areas
It depends on what type of tank area it is: if it’s for products in the chemical industry, then the petrochemical regulations should be followed; if it’s for ordinary buildings, then building codes should be applied.
