Dear experts, the current situation is as follows: a hyperbolic-shaped large chimney at a fertilizer factory emits gases such as water vapor into the atmosphere; these gases contain water vapor, concentrated sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, ammonia, and dust, with a temperature ranging from 200 to 300 degrees. I would like to measure the amount of ammonia emitted – are there any portable methods for this purpose? I used to talk to Shediron about it, but the final plan wasn’t put into practice, because that liquid and dust could completely clog the laser gas analyzer! Does anyone have a good solution?
In your case, a target flow meter can be used; it’s not portable but comes with flanges. For portable use, a portable gas ultrasonic flow meter can be employed.
