Water quality requirements for pump cooling water

Experts! What are everyone’s requirements regarding the quality of the cooling water for high-temperature centrifugal pump systems? Could you share your insights? We are currently using recycled water, but its quality is too poor; salt deposition and scaling often occur, blocking the covers of pumps and the pipelines for circulating water. We now want to make improvements, but we don’t know what quality of water is required – are there any standards? Thank you for sharing; thanks in advance!
It’s a long-standing issue; waiting for a response. I wonder if desalinating the cooling water could be done first~
Our unit wants to be converted into a demineralized water system, but this has not been achieved yet.
We use deionized water for the water jackets of our compressors as well as those of the pump cooling systems
Our system also has too high hardness in the circulating water; we have temporarily switched to desalinated water.
Our company used to have the same problem: the circulating water chambers and pipes would often get clogged, requiring pipe cleaning. Later, during maintenance, we switched to using deionized water for circulation.
