Regarding the commissioning of storage tanks/buffer tanks

Hello everyone. I would like to ask that when we conduct regular inspections of storage tanks/cushion tanks, if there is a mechanical level gauge in the tank that is about 30 feet (around 9 meters) long, and we want to remove it for replacement due to damage, can we simply use a crane to pull the entire gauge out? Considering that gauge isn’t very heavy. Are there any easier and cheaper ways to do it during construction?
It can be pulled out directly; the steel strip is soft
But is it soft? It’s a steel pipe
