I would like to ask the experts: what is the maximum exhaust pressure of an oil-free vertical vacuum pump? Will the motor shut down once this value is exceeded?

There are only two types of vertical oil-free vacuum pumps: 1. Claw-type dry vacuum pumps, 2. Reciprocating vacuum pumps. Since it can be discharged directly into the atmosphere, the exhaust outlet must remain unobstructed. Resistance at the exhaust port can cause an increase in motor current and a rise in the pump’s temperature. In severe cases, it can even shorten the service life of the pump. It first depends on the shaft power required for vacuum creation in the design of that particular model, then on the amount of motor capacity that the manufacturer provides based on that shaft power, and only afterward does it come to your question – by first calculating the shaft power needed for vacuum creation and converting it into an equivalent amount of compression work, one can find the answer
It generally does not exceed 0.02 Mpa gauge pressure. A pressure switch is generally installed at the pump’s exhaust end; it triggers an alarm when the value exceeds the set limit to protect the pump.
