I called the Chemical Engineering Survey Association this morning to ask for information, but they didn’t give a clear answer. They said it’s more likely that the exam will be postponed, but they can’t guarantee that it will still be held this year; it’s really frustrating{:2_41:}
Typical official tone; it really feels uncertain:Q
Since the registration for the consultation, I’ve felt that this year’s exam is rather strange; no decision was made regarding whether to take the exam right from the start of the registration process. Things kept getting delayed, and to this day there’s still no news at all
It seems things are in doubt; it looks like there will be significant changes in the registration process, which should facilitate better development in the future
Everyone should withstand external pressure and proceed step by step with the recovery process; I believe an announcement regarding the exam will be issued soon. . . . . . .
It would be best if there were no exam at all; simply cancel the registration for candidates: lol
It’s useless not to learn; even if registration for those exams is no longer required, there will still be proficiency tests, just in a different form. No matter what kind of exam is used, the knowledge doesn’t change, right?
But what one learns in order to prepare for exams can be applied in reality very little.
The content of the chemical engineering exam is closely related to process design. In the future, even if there are no registered chemical engineers anymore, proficiency tests will still exist. If you are in a design firm, the professional standards of that firm will definitely be evaluated. The basis for evaluation should still be exams. The content of the exam won’t change much. If you’re not at a design firm, just treat it as learning*.
It’s always good to learn a little knowledge
