It’s really tragic to have to pursue this certification. The entire chemical industry is in a downturn right now, making it difficult to get a job at design firms. My company doesn’t need this certificate, and there are no financial incentives for obtaining it. The prices for using someone else’s name to obtain this certification keep dropping; yesterday, a dishonest intermediary offered a fee of 10,000 per year. Thinking about how I stay up until 1 or 2 o’clock every night studying, and having to keep trying again after failing the exam in the first year – my hair has turned quite gray from all that stress. It’s truly heartbreaking! Before obtaining the certificate, agents kept contacting me, all offering prices of over 150,000 for a period of 3 years. Once I finally got the certificate, the prices started to drop, demand decreased, and the market became saturated. Stop saying that taking this exam is meant to improve one’s skills; I’m doing it just so I can get a job at a design firm or work as an independent contractor to make money. It seems now that it would have been better to take the First-Class Constructor exam back then. It’s truly heartbreaking and sorrowful!

If it’s chemical engineering (as registered power engineers are trained in this field), they might consider taking the exam to become a registered power engineer. The value of this certification remains stable in the market. I’m also preparing for the power engineering exam
