Reference can be made to the standard JB/T 9147-1999 for diaphragm couplings. The advantage of such couplings is that they are easy to disassemble, which facilitates the maintenance of motors or machines without the need to align both of them; Such couplings have a good self-adjusting effect

The components of diaphragm couplings that are prone to damage are usually the diaphragm and the bolts. If any damage is detected in the diaphragm or bolts during use, they should be replaced promptly. Of course, there are methods available for conducting non-destructive testing and dimensional checks on these vulnerable components!
It’s very difficult to detect fatigue problems using equipment; even if it’s possible to do so, it can only be done after the component has been damaged!
I haven’t seen any quantitative analysis data on these issues for use in actual operations.
