Blueing of the base metal around the weld

This post was last edited by Chen Bo on 2015-7-11 21:42. Sometimes, when the wire energy is too high, the base metal around the weld turns blue; how can one determine whether this is overheating or overburning? What is the impact?
It would be best to have a photo; everyone can help analyze it. The main reason for this situation is likely an excessive current, which leads to too high welding temperatures and resulting over-burning, causing the material to turn blue. Normally, a white color (the typical color of stainless steel) or a golden yellow color are considered normal
