The coal-to-methanol project has been in operation for several years now, with very stable performance. Major issues were resolved long ago during the initial testing phase, and the workshop technicians are confident in its operation; major problems generally do not occur. However, as a newcomer to the process who has been at the plant for just over a year, I feel that I am unable to grasp the essence of this technology. Much of the technical knowledge is acquired through handling various accidents over time. Watching the managers handle these accidents with skill and composure makes me realize how big the gap between me and them is. I want to learn, but I always feel unsure about the direction; I hope fellow learners can give me some good advice
