There is a small tank area that needs to be equipped with automatic control systems; it has several remote-level gauges and several shut-off valves, along with alarm and interlock shutdown functions. Since it is not planned to set up a control room, it is desired to install local control panels that can be used outdoors right next to the tank area. How should this be done? Seeking guidance
Mainly, there is no space at the site for a control room; that is, if a building is constructed, fire separation requirements apply, but these requirements do not apply when the control room is set up outdoors
No control room is needed; a single control box is sufficient. Of course, an explosion-proof box can also be considered
Explosion protection isn’t necessary; one can sit outside the area at risk of explosion, in the open air, where there are no concerns regarding rain or corrosion
Don’t worry; explain your requirements to the manufacturer clearly, and they will ensure you’re satisfied. But you need to monitor things yourself – you know how important integrity is these days
Then why do you still use it? It’s obvious it’s meant to fool the inspection. Just find a manufacturer and have one made casually
