I have a question: In a conventional packed washing tower, where a layer of bubble caps is placed above and below the packing, what is the purpose of that? Can these bubble caps help remove dust? My incoming flue gas contains a certain amount of heavy metal dust, but only in small quantities.
It’s easy to understand having blisters on top of the filler; but can the blisters at the bottom be pushed up by the filler? The gaps in the blisters are smaller than those in the filler – is filtering done through these smaller gaps? It’s better than a sieve then
They should all be separated; the blister packs should not be in direct contact with the filler
It is estimated that this approach takes advantage of the fact that bubble trays are less prone to clogging; bubbles have little impact on dust removal, and the cleaning effect mainly comes from the gas-liquid contact~~
