It’s a gas separation tank, right? To remove water from the gas? It depends on your gas volume and water content. If it is a gas storage tank, the amount of natural gas available for production can only cover one day’s use.
It’s either a separation tank or a regular buffer tank before it enters the furnace burner; remember that the buffering time should be no less than 15 seconds. I can’t find where this information comes from
Why is a buffer tank needed, when there’s a pressure regulator? The back pressure of the pressure regulating valve is constant and preset.
A buffer tank is installed in front of the gas heating furnace to prevent fluctuations and to separate liquids; a pressure control valve is used to regulate pressure. The pressure regulator is located before the fuel gas reaches the burner, allowing the fuel gas to flow more steadily
