Is there such a thing as spring offset?

Dear experts, I recently came across someone’s (I don’t know who) spring data sheet, on which it was indicated for some springs that there was a spring offset. What does spring offset mean, and how is it determined? Is it meaningful? Is it because the horizontal displacement is too large? But it seems meaningless. Thank you!
This should be similar to pre-stretching or pre-compression of a pipeline expansion joint. It’s likely that there is a deviation of about an inch between the installation position of the spring and its normal operating position.
It should be the spring hanger that is mounted offsetly; the spring bracket can be one equipped with rollers, especially if there is significant horizontal displacement
We only use offset mounting for high-temperature pipes, where the pipe displacement at that spring is too large; I believe the deflection is greater than 5 degrees in such cases. The main concern is that if the spring at that location bends too much due to thermal displacement, the force exerted by that spring will deviate significantly from the originally calculated value.
When the horizontal displacement is large, off-center mounting is considered. Ensure that the center of the spring and the center of the pipe support are on the same straight line during operation.
