Pump head issue

The pump model is AY40-35×8. The designed head of this pump is 300 meters. Based on the model number, 35×8 equals 280 meters, which is not 300 meters. What’s going on?
So this should be 280 meters.
Then why is the nameplate on the pump at the site marked as 300 meters?

For a head of 300m, does one need to multiply by the density of the deionized water used in methanol-to-hydrogen production, which is 35*8?
The single-stage head of 35m specified for this model is the nominal head, or the head specified as part of the design requirements for this pump. A certain margin is often included in the design, which results in a higher actual head after the pump is manufactured; thus, the actual single-stage head of this pump can reach 37.5m.
