For tower equipment with flange connections, what loads need to be considered when calculating the flanges? In which standard is it described? Thank you
It seems there are no other loads besides the combined bending moment from earthquakes and wind, right?
Looking at the end of the calculation section for 47042, what differs regarding the equipment flanges of the tower compared to those of other containers is that, in addition to the pressure load itself, loads resulting from bending moments and axial forces must also be taken into account; these are converted into equivalent pressures which are then added to the original pressure load. The maximum allowable operating pressure at the flange design temperature must be greater than the sum of these equivalent pressures.
