The temperature at the drive end of the chilled water pump is very high, exceeding 65 degrees. What is the reason? The designed water flow rate is 190 nm3/h, and it has currently been operating at full capacity at 190 for an extended period of time. Chilled water at 6 degrees. A fan is now used at the drive end to force ventilation, but the effect is limited. . Personally, I wonder if the pump selected is too small?
65 degrees is acceptable; the main thing to check is for any abnormal noises. Is there any abnormality in the vibration? It doesn’t really matter much whether you’re at full capacity or not. Your chilled water temperature of 6 degrees is on the low side.
A temperature of 65 degrees for a regular motor is not considered high; it is still possible for the motor to operate. If the temperature continues to rise, it might be due to a lack of lubricant – try adding some lubricant to see if that helps. It’s also possible that too much grease has been used; the grease drainage holes of the motor can be opened to drain some of it, or more grease can be added to replace it, thereby allowing the old grease to be removed. If that still doesn’t work, ask someone to check whether the motor bearings need to be replaced.
Oils are added regularly, and the pump is handled by professionals. Isn’t 65 degrees high? We used to have temperatures around 50 degrees; when they rose to 65 degrees, it became a concern. . If the pump is selected to be a larger size, is it possible for the temperature at the drive end to decrease? ?
There’s actually no need to be too anxious; after all, this is not an oxygen liquid pump, just a water pump. A motor temperature of 60-70 degrees is generally within the normal range. For you, its temperature might be a bit higher compared to before or compared to other motors, but it still falls within the normal range for motors. As long as there are no unusual noises from the bearings and the vibration isn’t high, then there’s no problem. Of course, it’s possible to replace the motor with a larger one, as that might help lower the temperature. But isn’t it a bit wasteful to do that? Personally, I don’t think it’s necessary to use a larger motor.
What were the bearing temperatures in previous summers? Have you done any comparisons?~~ Also, was too much fat injected in the last procedure?~~
65 degrees is a bit high, but still within an acceptable range. For our low-temperature water pumps, the bearing temperature is generally between 30-40 degrees; it will rise to 50 degrees right after lubrication, but it drops again quite quickly. The temperature at our motor drive end has reached quite high levels, around 90 degrees, and we are still able to operate normally, but we’re just as worried as you are

As long as it’s no higher than 90°C, that’s fine; be sure to carry out regular inspections and routine maintenance.
