What are the causes of corrosion in the wastewater stripping feed section and the ammonia-rich gas system? Corrosion in wastewater stripping at our plant is quite severe!
The corrosion in the feed section has been a problem over these past two years; it is caused by a doubling of the hydrogen sulfide content in the wastewater. When the feed temperature is high, hydrogen sulfide may dissociate, which leads to increased corrosion. Later, we lowered the feed temperature again.
