I checked it – “tanged” seems to mean a toothed plate, while “insert” means to embed or fit inside; so together they might refer to an embedded toothed plate? ? Please ask an expert in this field to help interpret it! This gasket is used in oil and gas pipelines.

Gasket, RF, tanged insert, graphite-reinforced gasket, raised-face flange. It should be a sprint plate – made by sprinting on a 0.1mm thick metal sheet, with two layers of composite graphite paper added and then rolled together. There are various materials that can be used for the inner metal sheet, such as carbon steel, 304, 316, and so on
