Develop an improvement plan for wastewater treatment. The approach I considered was to simply add a coagulation and sedimentation system to solve the problem (beaker experiments showed it to be feasible). Now here’s the problem: there’s an abandoned above-ground sedimentation tank on site that we want to use (about 5 meters high), but the water inlet is at ground level (0 meters). It’s inconvenient to add equipment on top of the pool. So it comes down to improvement. . My process is as follows: influent water ----> PAC reaction zone (5 minutes) ----> PAM reaction zone (5 minutes) ----> sedimentation tank (2 hours) ----> effluent water. In this process, PAC is lifted to the feed tank using a dosing tank and then pumped to the PAC reaction zone; the same applies to PAM. Here comes the question: Can the mixture of PAC and waste liquid be pumped into the PAM reaction zone? Will the pump damage the polymer? .
It will have an impact, but it’s not significant, and it ensures even mixing; To minimize the impact, it is recommended to use positive displacement pumps, such as diaphragm pumps ; A centrifugal pump can also be used; just choose one with a low speed.

Your proposed plan and ideas are good; there are existing sedimentation tanks available for experimentation, so it’s possible to give it a try. However, after adding PAC, it can be pumped up using a pump, but after adding PAM, it is recommended not to use a pump for lifting it. A simple space can be designated above the sedimentation tank as a reaction area for PAM coagulation
Just let the coagulation tank overflow into the flocculation tank and add PAM
