I’m a designer; after graduating, I left my hometown on my own to work for a private company. In a third-tier city, my salary after taxes is 2700. At first, I was under a lot of pressure, often worried that my mistakes might cause unnecessary losses for the company. After working there for over a year, I’ve learned a thing or two, and things are better now. However, there’s so much knowledge related to instrumentation, and it’s quite complex, so what I know still isn’t enough for this field. In my free time, I also try to learn things like PLC programming. Since I live far from home, I don’t plan to stay there for long; I’m always in a state of preparation, motivated by the hope of finding a better job. Now I want to return to Xi’an to look for work, but I’m worried that I won’t be able to find a suitable position. I’ve submitted several resumes online, but with no response. So I’m torn about whether to quit my current job and go back to Xi’an. I really miss my home and will eventually go back, but I’m not sure if now is the right time Is it easy to find a job in Xi’an? Please give an answer, provide an analysis, and reply! ! !

It’s like looking for a horse while riding a donkey – waiting for an opportunity. The overall economic situation is poor, companies are not performing well, and bosses are thinking about cutting salaries and laying off employees; therefore, I advise you not to leave so easily.

One year is a bit too short for working in this field; three years is a more appropriate duration. If your company operates at a high level in the design industry, it’s advisable to stay there and continue developing your skills. However, if it’s a very small, unregulated company that doesn’t get any proper projects, staying there would be a complete waste of time.
It’s because this is my first company since graduating, and I’ve never worked at any other companies, so there’s no basis for comparison. The company takes on various projects; it gets busy when there are projects, and relatively idle when there aren’t. To mention it briefly, the company has had to delay paying salaries due to cash flow issues, and now salaries are still paid a few days after the scheduled date – it’s become normal for us by now.
If you have about two years of work experience, it will be easier to find a job; you can then resign once you find a new one.

Don’t quit your job because of salary issues; you can say that you want to be closer to home, and I have no objection to that. It’s not right to quit just because of a few days’ worth of unpaid wages. Seize your first job.
