Seeking advice on the performance of air preheaters

Air preheaters can reduce the flue gas temperature and increase the temperature of the air used for combustion in the burners; since the air temperature rises during combustion, the combustion efficiency will surely improve. However, as the air temperature rises, the volume expands; theoretically, the amount of air drawn in by the burner’s blower should decrease when all other parameters remain constant. As a result, a blower with higher power is required to achieve an adequate flow rate of air. When the blower is upgraded, both energy consumption and noise level increase as well – isn’t that contradictory? Because it’s something that came to mind while just reading books on boilers; I guess I didn’t understand it thoroughly there. Thank you all.

The function of the air preheater is not to reduce the flue gas temperature, but to provide combustion air at an appropriate temperature for burning. If you read some books on the principles of boilers, you’ll understand; I can’t write a long explanation for you.
