There are many instruments for measuring liquid levels and interfaces; it depends on which one you need. It’s important to plan ahead and decide on the type of level gauge before making a selection. Common level gauges include magnetic flip plates, float balls, glass plates, glass tubes, quartz tubes, magnetostrictive types, capacitive types, radio frequency admittance types, submersible level sensors, double flange types, buoys, radar types, and ultrasonic types. .

First, you need to have a budget range in mind (that does not exceed the investment amount). Then you must determine the name of the medium, its density, temperature, liquid level (interface) range, whether it needs to be installed on the side or at the top, whether readings should be taken on-site or from a control room, and what the explosion-proof requirements are. For large tanks, you need to consider the ease of installation as well as future maintenance and replacement. There are many different measurement principles available, but radar and ultrasonic types are not highly recommended. On the other hand, it’s about finding a supplier with fair prices, honest practices, and excellent after-sales service.
It depends on what you are measuring, what the dielectric constant is, the temperature and pressure, the degree of corrosivity, the requirements regarding accuracy, and the type of output, in my humble opinion
