The flange structures on both sides of the control valve are different; I have never encountered such a design approach. Did the client also require this for the manual valve? Logically, a slip ring is used to save on the investment in flanges (thus titanium is not required for the flanges). In conventional design, a concession is made for the control valve flanges by allowing the use of special materials, after all, there are few components in a control valve. And the flanges of the pipes (including those that mate with the control valves) are all slip-on types, and there are a large number of them. Besides saving money, ask the owner what other *requirements (or design specifications) led to this design?
