Apart from the solid particles it contains, which can act as coke nuclei in the coking furnace tubes and cause coking, there are no other adverse effects of the slurry. The high aromatic content in the oil slurry gives it solubilizing and coking-dissolving properties, which are highly beneficial for the coking reaction (increasing liquid yield) and reducing coking in the furnace tubes. So there is only one requirement for the indicator: ash content.
The ash content in my oil slurry is quite high. How can I remove the ash from it? Is it necessary to use some equipment for this?
