There has always been a question that puzzles me: after the air compressor produces air, which is then processed by a dryer, is it still necessary to use a dew point meter? Why was the dew point sensor dried? I’m not from this industry; I hope you can kindly offer some guidance

A dew point meter is an instrument that can directly measure the dew point temperature. Cool a mirror in the humid air of the sample until dew drops (or ice crystals) appear on its surface; the average temperature of the mirror at that moment is the dew (frost) point temperature. It has high humidity measurement accuracy, but requires a mirror with very high smoothness, a highly precise temperature control system, as well as a highly sensitive optical detection system for detecting dewdrops (ice crystals). When in use, the pipeline for drawing in the sample air must be kept clean; otherwise, impurities within the pipeline will absorb or release moisture, causing measurement errors.
After compressed air is dried, it is generally necessary to measure the moisture content in the air in order to assess the effectiveness of the dryer. Because compressed air has a very low moisture content after drying, a dew point analyzer is used to measure the dew point, thereby indirectly indicating the moisture content. One of the quality requirement specifications for instrument air is that its dew point must be 10°C lower than the local minimum ambient temperature.
