In which aspects should a team carry out 6S management?
In China, 6S is just a showpiece project; implementing it excessively annoys the frontline staff
Why is everyone focusing on 6S? We are doing that too; we call it TPM management. Check weekly, check monthly. These things are fundamental; some companies don’t even need to implement specialized management for 6S, as they manage it well on their own. Other companies conduct inspections daily and monitoring on a monthly basis, yet still see poor results. The key lies in whether a company’s systems and culture are suitable for the development and improvement of 6S. Systems, inspection, and assessment are key to the implementation of 6S.
In my opinion, with \"6S\" management, at the most basic team level, as long as one does one’s job thoroughly, the requirements of \"6S\" are essentially met. By following the established standards – keeping tools and equipment in their proper places, cleaning the work area and equipment after completing tasks, and wearing appropriate work uniforms – these practical actions will ensure that the principles of \"6S\" are fulfilled.
