As the title suggests, the client requires that an air conditioner be installed in the PLC control cabinet; then, wouldn’t installing a dew prevention heater create a contradiction? Generally, dew prevention heaters are controlled by humidity or temperature. I’ve seen thermostats, which means they are controlled by temperature. So who determines this temperature setting? At the same time, it is fine if the temperature settings for turning on and off the dew prevention heater are both lower than the setting temperature of the air conditioner. However, if the humidity at the set temperature of the air conditioner is very high, the anti-dew heating element must be activated, which leads to a contradictory situation in which the heating element keeps heating while the air conditioner continues to cool the air. Of course, this is a very extreme situation, and the probability of it occurring must be extremely low as well. From a design perspective, is it not a contradictory concept to install both an air conditioner and a dew prevention heater at the same time? Furthermore, if dew prevention heaters are not used, do the air conditioners currently installed in electrical cabinets or control cabinets all have a dehumidification function? I hope professionals can help answer this.

The dehumidification effect of the air conditioner is not significant; the device manages to maintain a constant temperature, and a dehumidifying and anti-dew heater is used.
It is indoor, as the PLC cabinet is located directly in the turbine room rather than in the central control room; therefore, separate air conditioning is required for it. Air conditioners are mainly used to maintain a constant temperature. I’m worried that if the temperature is very low the air conditioner won’t turn on, and low temperatures make condensation more likely to occur; therefore, a heater might also be necessary.

Does high humidity have an impact on the external circulation of the air conditioner? At the same time, during cold seasons, air conditioners do not operate in such high-humidity environments.
