Currently, in China, safety accidents occur frequently due to the failure to conduct gas analysis as required for hot work and operations in confined spaces. What are others doing in this regard? What manufacturer and model of testing equipment is being used?

The initial analysis of the device should be carried out in a central laboratory, while subsequent analyses can be done using portable multi-functional alarms. For specific requirements regarding time intervals, refer to the eight work safety standards AQ 3021~3028-2008 and HG 30010~30017-2013. For environmental analysis in areas where fire is used, we also employ multi-functional alarms; our monitoring covers oxygen levels, flammable gases, and hydrogen sulfide.
Honeywell detectors are being used. . As for how to do it, it’s to give one’s best effort and fulfill one’s responsibilities. . Strengthen training and education, and implement institutional requirements. . . Stay safe even while busy. .
Before performing hot work, it is necessary to purge the area and then conduct an analysis of the combustible gas concentration; the concentration of gases or vapors in the area being tested should be less than 0.5% (V/V). At the same time, special attention must be paid to oxygen as well – whether it is an oxygen-rich or oxygen-poor environment – replacement analysis should be conducted to prevent suffocation, and the oxidizing property of oxygen is also a key point of concern~~
