May I ask whether an exhaust device needs to be designed on top of the reducer, especially for Siemens reducers that are used under heavy loads?
Generally, this is not taken into account for low-power reducers, but it is necessary for reducers that are designed to handle heavy loads. Products like Siemens heavy-duty reducers should be available before leaving the factory.
Our coal mill reducers are also designed for heavy loads, but they don’t have exhaust vents – is there a problem with the design?
First, it's necessary to check the manufacturer's information. Secondly, in my opinion, coal grinders usually come equipped with an oil dilution system, in which a pump is used to force the oil to circulate; such a system includes various components like breather valves, so there is no need to consider exhaust ventilation for the grinder itself.
This Siemens reducer does not require forced lubrication; it has no diluent oil station.
