What’s causing the long-term reduction in the boiling range of catalytically fractionated gasoline and diesel? What does it indicate?
Good separation efficiency means that energy consumption remains high.
The high separation precision indicates that both the design and operation of the tower are excellent.
Vacuum degree and overlap are important parameters reflecting changes in the components of gasoline and diesel. Vacuum degree refers to the situation where the initial boiling point of diesel is higher than the dry point of gasoline; a certain level of vacuum degree is necessary, but it should not be too high, as this can lead to increased energy consumption; Overlap refers to the situation where the distillation starting point of diesel is lower than the dry point of gasoline, resulting in some gasoline components being trapped within the diesel components and unable to escape, which can lead to energy loss ; A certain degree of void space should be maintained over the long term ;
The distillation effect is good, with no overlap between the components.

How to describe increased energy consumption? I don’t quite understand it. And even if the operational fluctuations are significant, the boiling range remaining at around 10°C during vacuum distillation – isn’t that really great? I haven’t managed to do it since starting work before
How to determine the distillation efficiency of a distillation tower? It is determined based on the composition of two adjacent fractions or the relationship between their distillation curves. If the initial boiling point of the heavier fractions is higher than the final boiling point of the lighter fractions, there is a certain \"gap\" between these two fractions. The larger this gap, the higher the separation precision; conversely, if the two components overlap, it means that some of the lighter fractions have mixed into the heavier fractions, or vice versa. This results in both a reduced yield of the lighter fractions and a decline in their quality. Clearly, overlap is caused by poor precision in fractionation, while a large gap indicates higher separation precision.
