In life, one’s character forms the foundation. 　　Morality can make up for deficiencies in wisdom, but wisdom can never make up for deficiencies in morality. The two most charming forces in a person are: one is the power of character, and the other is the power of thought. 　　Character is a person’s inner essence, while reputation is their outward appearance. In life, integrity comes first; in dealing with others, honesty comes first; in doing tasks, diligence comes first. 　　“Four resistances: resistance to being viewed, resistance to being tested, resistance to being questioned, and resistance to being inspected. Fairness and integrity are aspects of one’s character and moral outlook; they represent the primary principle, guideline, and creed for living a proper life. Greed is the greatest enemy of cultivating virtue. Respect one’s own dignity; avoid greed for wealth, lust, or profit ； Respect for people, valuing personality, labor, and rights ； Handle tasks in a steady manner, adhering to principles, procedures, and efficiency. Integrity and honesty are the foundation for living a proper life. 　　Those who can be tolerant of those who are different from themselves or who hold prejudices against them will receive greater help and rewards. Courage is not the absence of fear, but overcoming it in the end ； Being strong does not mean being completely free from cowardice; it means overcoming cowardice in the end ； Justice is not the absence of personal biases, but rather the rejection of such biases in the end ； Integrity does not mean having no desires for greed, but rather overcoming such desires in the end. 　　One should possess depth, magnanimity, and purity in character; focus and dedication in one’s career; grace in facing criticism; warmth toward friends; and a sense of judgment when it comes to right and wrong. 　　One should have ambition in life, and confidence and integrity in doing things. Build one’s reputation on integrity, pursue success through hard work, and conduct oneself with virtue. In the face of difficulties, take the burden on yourself first; in the face of honor, step aside first; in the face of danger, be the one to face it head-on. Not fawning over superiors, not harming peers, not being insincere with subordinates, and not being self-serving. 　　Appreciating others is a state of mind; treating others kindly is a sign of generosity; caring about others is a quality; understanding others is a sign of maturity; helping others brings joy; learning from others is a form of wisdom; uniting others is an ability; drawing on the experiences of others brings benefits. 　　Leave more wealth behind, and fewer burdens ； Leave more elegance behind, and fewer regrets ； Leave more experience behind, and fewer flaws. One should learn to listen, to smile, and to praise. Convince people with excellent qualities, gather them around with a noble character, and lead them with a solid work style.
