Should the lubrication pump and oil injector be turned on while cranking a reciprocating compressor? Please give me an answer, teacher
The lubricating oil pump should be turned on; then there’s no need to use the oil filler
The cylinders of the reciprocating compressors in our facility are oil-free lubricated; there is no oil injector, and it is not necessary to start the lubrication oil pump when rotating the compressor.
Lubrication pumps generally operate; even when in standby mode, our reciprocating compressors have oil inside them. The oil filler must be opened first when turning the compressor over.
Turn it on; use one to monitor the trial operation, and the other to deliver lubricant in advance for lubrication.
Other companies may not know this, but here we require that the lubrication system must be activated before rotating the engine units!
