I’ve seen cases where sand was used to fill the gaps, as well as situations where a cover plate was placed on top and the gaps were sealed with cement slurry. In other cases, factory air is introduced into the pit, along with a small pump to remove accumulated water. I’m not sure what the standard practice in this industry is; I would appreciate some guidance from those who know more. O(∩_∩)O Thank you @ylb913
I’ve never used one that’s buried; most of those I’ve seen are tanks placed in concrete tanks.
There are pipes leading from the factory to the pool, right? Is the pump used to remove water portable?
There are ventilation ducts, in a U shape, with small drill holes. There is a small pit at the corner of the pool bottom; in the past submersible pumps were used, but now air pumps are employed.
A wind pump is used for pumping air out, so how can it be used for draining water?
It depends on the location. In the north, where the weather is dry, there is no water accumulation in the pits, so the jars can be placed directly there. In the southern region, there is plenty of rain and the groundwater level is high; digging a hole results in it being filled with water. Therefore, sand is used to fill that hole, and then cement is poured on top to seal it.
If you use cement for everything, will things like manhole covers end up exposed?
Manhole; the pipe flange is on the outside. But the imported pipe flanges are inside the sand filler
Is the inlet pipe flange inside the sand, and the outlet pipe flange outside? How can there be such a difference?
The new underground solvent drainage system we have installed involves filling it with sand. We are located in the Central Plains region, where there is a lot of rainfall in the summer
