Can adding heat collection in Aspen also save energy consumption? I recently created two examples where using fully thermally integrated TAC actually resulted in a larger size
If the TAC is too high, then either the heat exchange in your simulation itself is not feasible. Or it could be a software bug. It is recommended to upload files, at least textures
Poor heat exchange? I don’t quite understand. There’s no problem with the simulation itself. TAC is related not only to energy consumption but also to factors such as the tower diameter. Sometimes, achieving the required level of complete heat integration leads to an increase in the reflux ratio, which in turn results in a wider tower and higher costs for its construction
