7-meter top-mounted coke oven, with 3 gas collection sections; each of the 3 suction pipes is equipped with an electric control valve operated by DCS. The normal pressure in the gas collection duct remains around 170 PA, but once coal is loaded, the pressure rises above 300 PA, and sometimes it even reaches over 400 PA. What’s going on here? ?
During coal loading, the air in the carbonization chamber is displaced, resulting in the generation of large amounts of raw gas. Many enterprises experience fluctuations in the pressure of the gas collection pipes; it is hoped that the actual conditions on site will be analyzed thoroughly for everyone’s reference! !
This needs to be adjusted according to the actual conditions on site. Consider the following points: the connection valves between sections 1 and 3 of the gas collection pipes should be fully open; 2. Setting of the pressure for high-pressure ammonia water, selection of high-pressure ammonia water nozzles; 3. Measuring the suction force in the carbonization chamber during coal loading ; 4. The response sensitivity of the electric control valve operated by DCS needs to be checked ; 5. Inspection of the effect of large-loop regulation. Is the pressure in the final collection pipe, usually at 170, a bit high? The above are just my personal opinions.
The gas collection pipe experiences large pressure fluctuations, and this becomes even more severe when a 2–1 series arrangement is used!
The connection valves between the 1st and 3rd gas collection pipes have all been opened. The high-pressure ammonia system lacks a pressure stabilization device; the pressure remains above 2.7 MPA when it is not in use, and above 2 MPA when it is in use. The large circulation system is manually regulated, resulting in frequent pressure fluctuations; relying on it is not a viable solution. We are currently using a 2-1 sequence.
2—1 The pressure differences in the series of gas collection pipes can be quite large, with significant fluctuations as well! The Proven system for 7.63-meter coke ovens is one of the solutions to this problem, and its control methods and process design concepts indeed have their merits! Domestic design and research institutions need to reflect; many problems and contradictions are emerging!
