Help, I can’t get the tar off the insulation cover and the equipment – what should I do? Is any special cleaning agent needed?
It needs to be blown out with steam or dissolved using organic substances; detergents generally cannot remove it. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Wiping with organic solvents such as thinners works quickly, but slight traces remain.
Steam treatment doesn’t work well either; I was wondering if there are any specialized cleaning agents. Has anyone tried them? Are there any effective methods?
What is a thinning agent? Like the kind used to thin paint?
Yes, it’s used for thinning paint; its main components are benzene, light hydrocarbons, etc.
Thinner was used, and the taste is quite strong. It has too high volatility
Your treatment of that thin liquid isn’t good enough; it would be better to apply another layer of protection or wrap it with tape. That thin liquid is flammable and toxic, and the chemical pipelines are subject to high temperatures and pressures – anything could go wrong during the processing···
Tar cleaner is the same as paint thinner
This time it’s a paint thinner. I’ve used one before – it’s non-volatile, has no strong odor, and is a thick white liquid; it seems to be more effective than regular thinners. The thinner is too irritating.
It can be cleaned off with a tar cleaner. It is not the same organic solvent as paint thinners
