Why is hydraulic calculation required for air ducts?

Today’s question for the daily challenge: Isn’t the purpose of ductwork solely to perform wind force calculations? Why is it necessary to carry out hydraulic calculations as well?
I understand that the so-called hydraulic calculation is not a calculation carried out using water as the medium, but rather a calculation based on the methods used for pipe calculations.
In that case, is wind force calculation still necessary?
I think what the guy meant by wind force calculation is actually calculating it in the same way as water calculations, that is, hydraulic calculation.
