1. Equivalent freely connected chain: A chain consisting of n bonds with length l, fixed bond angles, and no rotational freedom is considered as a freely rotatable chain made up of Z segments of length b; this is known as an equivalent freely connected chain. 2. Orientation: A structure in which, under the influence of an external force, molecular chains or other structural units arrange themselves preferentially in the direction of that force. 3. Silver streaks: Under tensile stress, polymers experience stress concentration in certain weak areas of the material, leading to local plastic deformation and orientation; this results in the formation of fine grooves on the surface or within the material, perpendicular to the direction of the stress.
