Our company uses biological treatment for wastewater treatment, both aerobic and anaerobic methods. Currently, there are many bubbles in the aerobic process, and the effluent is black. What’s going on? Urgent! ! !
There are many aerobic bubbles now, and the effluent is black; there’s a problem with sludge recovery.
1. Check whether there is anaerobic sludge entering the aerobic tank; 2. Dark-colored effluent is mostly caused by low dissolved oxygen, or by localized anaerobic conditions resulting from dead zones in aeration, which leads to dark effluent ; 3. Check whether the sludge discharge from the secondary sedimentation tank is operating normally, and whether there are any dead zones or localized anaerobic conditions ; Recommendation: Remove sludge as soon as possible to increase dissolved oxygen; alternatively, you can stop feeding water and allow the system to rest until the dissolved oxygen level rises, after which operations can be resumed gradually.
Black water indicates low dissolved oxygen and a high sludge load. Check whether your anaerobic sludge is flowing into the aerobic tank; find ways to increase the dissolved oxygen in the aerobic tank and accelerate sludge removal
Is there scum on the surface of the secondary sedimentation tank? What is the sensory quality of the supernatant from the sedimentation in the aerobic tank? There are many reasons for the black water output; more data would be appreciated. Has the DO level been measured? It’s possible that the DO is too low, causing aerobic microorganisms to die. Or the water toxicity is too high, killing both anaerobic and aerobic microorganisms
