What is the basis for determining the overflow opening size of the slag skimmer?
Do I need to open it again? There are no strict requirements; it’s usually a little above the pump inlet of the sludge tank
What is the purpose of opening an overflow hole? ? ? Is it to modify or optimize the original design, or is the slag pool of the slag skimmer too small? ? ?
The function of the overflow hole is to allow overflow; since there is overflow, it is necessary to prevent the slag in the slag tank of the slag skimmer from ending up in the second slag tank. Therefore, the overflow hole should not be placed too low. At the same time, too much water should not remain in the slag tank of the slag skimmer, as this would increase the moisture content of the coarse slag and cause environmental pollution during transportation. So the opening cannot be too high. Work usually starts in a slightly upper part of the middle area. Some have dual holes on the same side, while others have them on both sides; personally, I think it’s a bit better when the dual holes on both sides are at the same level
