Why does the sum of the chemical components of materials such as alloys be less than 100%? What are those remaining tens of percent that aren’t listed in the ingredient list?
I’m not sure what alloy material yours is, but ordinary chemical composition analysis cannot determine the phase composition of all various metals; it’s possible that some oxidizing substances have not had their oxygen content taken into account. I’m not a chemical engineer nor an expert in alloy materials – this is just my guess.
All alloys available on the market come with their chemical composition tables; I just don’t understand what those percentages in the high teens mean ~~There should be some kind of rule regarding what is listed in the ingredient list.
