Hello everyone: My company has recently purchased two vacuum pumps, and they often leak air at the piston rod. Do you have any suggestions for effective sealing solutions? Thank you!
Buddha rubber seals aren’t very effective
First, for the leak, we need to find the cause. Is it the insufficient smoothness of the piston rod? Is it still an issue with the incorrect selection of the sealing solution? Ask the manufacturer whether all batches of his products are like this, or if only the two units you purchased are leaking. Find the reason before deciding what to do
For sealed packing sets, leakage can occur, but it remains within controllable limits!
Mechanical seals with bellows are just a bit more expensive. Is it convenient to take photos or identify whose pump it is?
